Does the bottom part of the hot shoe have a hole threaded for 1/4″ screw mount?
The bottom of the hot shoe does not have a 1/4″ screw mount. It is only allowed to install through the cold shoe base and 1/4″-20 screws.
When push the adapter into shoe, can the camera be secured by rotating knurled nut at the bottom of the adapter?
Of course you can. Considering that there is less twisting room after the bottom cold shoe is connected to the camera, we have equipped a hex wrench to easily secure the camera.
Is the gap between the metals too small? I’m afraid I might break my gopro mounts.
This gopro to cold shoe mounts adapter has a metal gap of 1.12″, which is suitable for most Gopros. If you’re worried, you can measure the spacing of the gopro bracket first.
