These are great, especially for boys with no fat on their feet, or anywhere else for that matter. Lol He loves them and wants to wear them constantly.
Besides the heel strap, which is great, these are exactly like the adult style, but without the bottle opener underneath. I'm sure when he grows out of these, we'll buy another, larger pair.
I'm not sure if these run a little small or if stride right runs a little big, as far as length. He has a pair of stride right tennis shoes and they have plenty of room for him to grow. In these, he has a little bit of room to grow. They are both size 10 toddler. Don't get me wrong, it's not like he has no room to grow. He just has less room to grow in these than in his stride rites.
Oh, another difference between these and the adults' is these are super lightweight and the adults tend to be kind of heavy.
I would recommend these to anyone who has a kid who has been walking for at least a year. I wouldn't get these for a new walker because they're fairly stiff. New walkers need to have soft souls that bend very easily. Yes, the strap around the heel helps the foot bend more. But they are still stiff and need to be broken in a bit. They're perfect for, I would say, 3 years and older.
